WHAT IS THE WORD

Pan Pan’s WHAT IS THE WORD is an audio cinematic experience, presenting a curated collection of Samuel Beckett poems. Performed by some of Ireland’s leading actors, it was shown in France, and across the island of Ireland.

The design—used in the titles, the posters, and the programme, is minimalist, using only black and white, alongside stills from the piece.

WHAT IS THE WORD grapples with the struggle to express. It is an immersive sensory journey. The typography reflects this; definite, angular letterforms, filling the space one moment, offering fragments the next.
