Australian artist Meg Washington wanted to release a special record after her successful ‘I Believe You Liar’ album and to also create something that would be a limited edition, and with lots of physical elements to it. Dividing the eight track album into four sections (barbiturate, nicotine, etc.) a symbol was created for each section on a atom-like grid which then appeared on inserted lyric and photo cards, the back of the sleeve and on the disk itself – a clear 12” vinyl. The outside sleeve was a semi-transparent PVC screen-printed in two colours which allowed a hint of the visuals inside to show through. The bag for the vinyl was made of trace providing multiple layers of transparency through all the different materials.
