We have been working closely with Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud over the last year to create a strong brand for this Dublin institution. Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud has been a centre of fine dining in Dublin for the last thirty years and is Ireland’s only two star Michelin. With the restaurant approaching its thirty year anniversary they hoped to update their brand image and make it relevant to the younger generation.
We began by designing and producing the restaurant’s first book, ‘Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud The First Thirty Years’, to mark their milestone anniversary. Working closely with photographer Barry McCall we created a coffee table book featuring the restaurant’s iconic dishes. The dishes were photographed as though pieces of art to reflect the artistry and care that goes into producing each and every dish. We also produced a beautiful cloth bound Limited Edition version of the book to mark the occasion.
Following the publication of the book we created a fresh, contemporary new look and feel across a number of print and web applications. When redesigning the website it was important to design a site that worked equally well across multiple platforms including smartphones, tablet devices and traditional web browsers. The site needed to have this flexibilty as many customers viewed the site on mobile platforms to check the menu or telephone number on-the-go. The design of the new site features large galleries which work with touch-screen technologies on mobile devices and showcase the stunning photography of the restaurant’s dishes.
