To mark his passing, Concern invited students from post-primary schools to reflect on the impact Nelson Mandela had on their lives. Their entries, in rap, poems, stories and artwork are the heart of Remembering Madiba, a reflection of the deep and sincere expressions of respect and gratitude for a man whose legacy will be carried by generations of ‘unifiers’ to come. These writings are brought to life through a vibrant design, using a restrained colour palette dominated by black, combined with patterns inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Mandela’s Xhosa Tribe. The book was presented to the South African Ambassador to Ireland on the first Anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s death.
