Marlin Hotel tucked away on Bow Lane, positions itself as the perfect base for a stay in Dublin; for work or leisure. The hotel is designed to strike the balance between providing quiet and comfort for a restful stay and the opportunity to work or socialise within the hotel should guests wish to.
We created a contemporary, typography led identity, with touchpoints including a suite of printed collateral, environmental signage and wayfinding. The colour palette is largely black and white with some muted greys, this is enlivened by a fluorescent orange highlight which is used sparingly as a surprising detail on some pieces.
Architects O’Donnell O’Neill were engaged to create a vibrant multi-use ground floor concept, including a bar, garden terrace, co-working space, and a meeting room. The lobby also features a coffee kiosk in the form of a converted horsebox - a nod to the owners’ love of horse racing. For the environmental signage, we created a mix of lit and hand-painted signs with messaging to suit each space. Our signage needed to layer seamlessly over the interior design to create an environment that guests and the public will engage with, experience and enjoy.
