In 2014 the Limerick Printmaker’s studio relocated to its new home in John’s Square. This move and changes to its internal structure necessitated a re-brand which would communicate the Printmakers ideology and reflect the diverse work taking place in the studio and in the environs of Limerick City.
The identity reflects the ethos and practice of the organisation and the individuality of the members of the collective. It seeks to represent the members and their printmaking in its many and varied guises and to portray the collective as a strong, professional body with a clear understanding of their role in Limerick City and beyond.
The marque is unique, sophisticated and contemporary. It communicates the functional and technical aspects of printmaking while reinforcing the organic, individual and humanist facets of mark making. The marque allows customisation in order to facilitate representations that suit individual needs while also strongly maintaining the identity of the collective.
