The ID2015 Display typeface emerged from the formal experiments and play that accompanied the development of the ID2015 logotype. The basic forms were extrapolated from the geometric designs that decorate Kerbstone 52, Newgrange. The character set is comprised of uppercase letters and numbers only. Alternate characters are provided for a number of letters in order to achieve a deliberately jarring and frequent juxtaposition of ’square’ and ‘curved’ letterforms in use. The typeface was distributed by ID2015 to key designers/collaborators for use in commissioned projects.
