The Irish Architecture Foundation’s A Space for Learning exhibition had evolved into a nationwide programme, which teamed up post-primary students with architects to investigate how to better design their schools.
Following extensive consultation, the Architects in Schools programme handbooks, which we originally designed in 2012, were given a complete overhaul. The changes to the design reflected the developments made to how the programme was being delivered, it was no longer used solely as a workbook, but rather as a helpful accompaniment to in-class project work. Vivid colours and architecturally-inspired illustration were combined to engage the students and to help them understand and navigate the material.
