2017 marked our 10th and final year working with Fringe. Our aim this year was essentially the same as it was in 2008, to give an authentic and visceral voice to an exciting festival that’s always moving forward.
It was also the final year of artistic director Kris Nelson’s tenure. We wanted to build on the strategy we’d established over the previous three years – using the campaign as a platform for new talent. And with no title sponsor this year it allowed us to be unapologetically Fringe.
We left the studio and brought the world of Fringe to the streets of Dublin. Photographing talented artists, writers and performers, all of whom are part of this years festival, in various locations around the city.
As with the previous two years we continued to champion emerging photographic talent. This year we worked with young Dublin based photographer Declan Kelly. The images along with a vibrant yellow and an F [which brought us back to our original work from 2008] were used to create a highly visible and cohesive campaign across web, print, posters and venues across the city.
