Everything is Connected was an exhibition featuring craft objects and design prototypes within furniture, textiles, lighting, ceramics, metal and glassware, the Ventura Lambrate exhibition marked the third Milan collaboration between three of Norway’s most influential design and craft organisations: Klubben, DOGA Design and Architecture Norway and Norwegian Crafts, as well as Jotun, one of the world’s most respected paint makers.
Through the work of 30 of Norway’s designers, makers and studios, selected by curator Katrin Greiling, Everything is Connected painted a creative portrait of a country, telling the story of design from concept to creation, and exploring how geography, education, material resources and production networks all play their part in shaping the products a designer or craftsperson conceives.
The identity for Everything is Connected – as the name suggests – focuses on the idea of connection and how every object and participating designer is somehow an abstract consequence of their combined experience and place within the context Norway's wider cultural narrative. With this as a starting point, we used the silhouettes of the different objects featured at the exhibition as somewhat of a teaser to engage and intrigue people to discover how each designer created an object that is a balance of their own experience, but also the contrasting materials and techniques they have used to create these works.
