Ekspedisjonen, Monica Kristensen (2014)

The first cover design and illustration of a five book series for revered Norwegian crime novelist, Monica Kristensen. The minimal approach taken with the series conveys the harsh environments in which Kristensen sets her novels, often featuring two key characters we have represented on the cover of each book, in this case a polar bear and an unfortunate explorer. The refined, simplistic style of the covers also serve to separate Kristensen's novels from others in the crime genre, giving her an identity of sorts.

This hardback also features a more refined inner cover when the sleeve is removed, with an embossed illustration and title only on the spine.
