IBM Make Lab in Austin, Texas is a space dedicated to creating and building a sustainable culture of design within IBM.
As part of an on-going poster series run by IBM Make Lab that celebrates the diversity and heritage of IBM's global studio network, I was invited to submit a design that illustrates an aspect or distinctive feature of Dublin – the city, the landscape, the people, or the culture.
Dublin, a walkable city, is known and loved for its quirky side streets and historic architecture. My response was inspired by the simple geometric shapes and patterns found in the brickwork of many Irish buildings, cobblestone streets, and primitive stone walls.
Screen-printed with fluorescent green and silver inks.
