Having developed a bold and graphic approach to establish the arrival of a new festival director in 2016, our agreed approach was to build on this each year to make visible his tenure.
The 2017 programme featured a series of ensemble performances with powerful images of dancers performing side by side. We developed on our core idea, this time using a series of strong simple D’s that emphasised the action in the shots and the tension, politics and energy inherent in the programme.
