2013
Celebrating the Dublin Bowie Festival, Image Now Gallery hosted a typographic poster exhibition exploring his work. One of twenty five posters exhibited, our task was to reimagine Bowie’s The Next Day’, launched in 2013. Our approach was to create a confession box filled with a collection of Bowie’s sins as told through the song lyrics in the album. The box is viewed isometrically and lit from one side to represent the darkness to light of a confession. The line of crosses represent the screen between Bowie and the viewer, the inversion being a nod to Bowies punk attitude and rebellion towards societal norms.
