Our goal every time we design an annual report for Concern Worldwide is to ensure that it delivers more than a simple explanation of the organisation’s activities and accounts from the previous year. Instead, the Report must speak to stakeholders, donors and policymakers in a fresh, unique and appropriate way – without being ostentatious.
For the 2017 report, there was a specific focus on Concern’s strategic goals which were developed in 2016, and the progress to date of these goals.
Working with the theme of maternal health, the Report outlines progress across Concern’s six strategic goals – conveyed through our careful selection of photography and considered layouts.
We designed feature spreads in an editorial style to capture at a glance, the expanse of Concern’s work and focus throughout 2017. These were woven through the Annual Report, cross-referencing vital programmes, and directing the reader to core focus-areas of Concern’s work in 2017.
We introduced a special ink to set the highlighted sections apart from the rest of the Report. The result is an Annual Report which brings the reader up to date on their life-saving activities in an informative and memorable way.
