A seriffed version of Signal's popular Center type family, Center Slab has a far more analog look, perhaps because slab serifs have their roots in 19th Century ‘Egyptians,’ or because monoline serif faces inevitably suggest typewriters. Its squarish rounds and angled arches are unusual within the slab serif genre. Like its sans companion, it offers nine weights with matching italics, tabular figures that duplex across all weights, case-sensitive forms, an array of cursive-style alternates and support for over 130 languages.
