Ballymaloe Litfest is a festival about food, drinks and more. The weekend gathers the worlds most influential chefs and writers debating, discussing and demonstrating in County Cork. The Big Shed Fringe Festival provides artisan stalls and entertainment well into the night.
The festival needed to develop a visual identity to complement the event and appeal to a broad target audience. This needed to be carefully crafted, memorable and flexible for multiple applications from apparel, signage, digital, advertising and collateral.
The concept was built around alchemy, which related to the mixing of people and ideas, and also the alchemic nature of food and drinks. The vibrancy and fluidity of the alchemical images and colour palette help to set the tone for the event. The event is a ‘must do’ on the global food circuit.
