An Post Olympic Stamp (2012)

The concept of the colourful design of the stamp is a subtle nod to our close geographic proximity to London. The five verticals, combined with contemporary typography, represent Team Ireland’s short journey across the water to London. It is a graphic representation of the melting pot of Nationalities that converged on London in 2012 for the Olympic Games. From shades of green (Ireland), to blues and red (the United Kingdom), combined with a vibrant multi-coloured palette – the colours connote togetherness and team spirit.
