The briefing paper shines a light on the perceived unfair treatment of people with mental health problems.The results, in conjunction with existing data on negative public attitudes and inequality, tell a compelling story for the need to challenge mental health prejudice and discrimination.Whilst Amnesty's billboard campaign focused directly on the individual, swollen decided to take an opposite point of view for the books design.We concentrated on ordinary everyday spaces where people may feel or experience vulnerability as a result of having a mental health illness.We commissioned and then art directed a series of photographs produced by seanandyvette to highlight these spaces and the emotions felt within them.The result was a compelling series of images complemented by quotes taken directly from the individuals interviewed as a part of the report.These images were then used to punctuate the individual chapters of the book.
