8thBusters

This poster was commissioned by Irish publication FAC Magazine, for a special issue showcasing creative works in support of repealing the 8th amendment. The poster is undeniably topical and provided an excellent opportunity to implement visual communication as a means of raising awareness and debate—regardless of personal opinion—in relation to the subject matter.

The intent of the poster was to communicate the core message of Together for Yes in an approachable, unique and memorable way. This resulted in the humorous appropriation of the iconic Ghostbusters emblem. The outcome successfully and respectfully presents a serious topic through an unexpected tone of voice, encouraging engagement with an unquestionably strong movement in an accessible and friendly manner.
