While Dublin becomes home to The Future, a brand new large-scale conference, The Future Fringe offers small-scale, discursive and free alternatives. Head to the Tara Building on 1 November for a hands-on workshop introducing students and practitioners of all experience levels to speculative design, or go along to the Irish Architecture Foundation (probably the city's smallest arts venue) for an opportunity to discuss changing cities, adapting behaviours and prototyping possible futures with artist Kerry Guinan, designer Robby Collins, Shane Waring of DCC Beta and Kaave Pour of Copenhagen's SPACE10. The Future Fringe is curated by James Delaney and our own Aideen McCole, hosted by the Tara Building and the Irish Architecture Foundation and supported by Johnnie Bongos Brewery.
