Our friends at Design Enterprise Skillnet are offering 100 Archive users a €100 discounted rate for a workshop in CAI House, Pearse Street, with Richard Rutter on 7 March, 9am—5pm. A world-renowned authority figure on web typography, Rutter is the curator of Ampersand, co-founder of design consultancy Clearleft, co-founder of Fontdeck, the pioneering webfont service and recently an acclaimed author for his book Web Typography.
In this workshop you will learn to create websites with engaging, appropriate, distinctive, expressive and readable web typography. You will learn how to combine centuries-old craft with cutting edge technology, including variable fonts, to design and develop for screens of all shapes and sizes, and provide the best reading experiences for your modern readers. Over the course of a day you will participate in hands-on activities, applying each new technique to a detailed example site which you can take back with you. This will form the perfect resource for you to refer to in the future. Every attendee will also walk away with an exclusive hardback copy of Richard’s acclaimed Web Typography book.
A light breakfast and lunch are included in workshop price of €249 and you can grab a ticket here. Those who have purchased a 100 Archive subscription or credits for 2018 submissions can email us for the €100 discount code.
